Melissa's baby quilt

My friend Melissa made this fun scrappy baby quilt and asked me to quilt it for her.

She used her scraps and I think it turned out so cute.  She wanted me to quilt straight lines...good choice I might say!  She also wanted double batting...warm and natural.  I like how that made the quilt feel too.

And here is a hooded towel I made for her baby.

I was given one of these from my friend Rebecca when my first was born almost 14 years ago and we still use it!  I actually have about 6 floating around the house.

For this hooded towel you use a hand towel and not a wash rag.  So I did up a tutorial on the my next post on how to make these.

I love the look of the straight lines. Do you do that just with the channel locks?
