Metro Medallion

Life has been crazy busy lately and I've really missed blogging!  I love it so much!  My mom even asked me yesterday if everything was okay....because she noticed I hadn't blogged lately.....so this is for you mom!  Love you mom!

I've had this darn quilt done for over a year now.

Why I haven't quilted it yet?? ...and why I haven't written a pattern yet??

I fell in love with this design and at the time wanted to make a quilt using this color combination.

I did the diamonds kinda funky...easy for me, but I'm not sure pattern worthy??

...so what I'm getting at, is although I love the design and love...love...the medallion looking shape in the design, I'm not sure this quilt gives it justice.

....so I'm going to re-do it in these fabrics by Ty Pennington...

....which I think will really show off the medallion.  I'm going to eliminate the diamonds and I think the quilt will take on a totally different feel and look!

I plan on cutting it out this weekend.  It's a super easy quilt to put together!!

We recently put in a "Sports Court" for the kids....the kids have had a blast playing basketball on it and we also have it set up for a pickle ball court!  Jared and I played against Brittany and Taylor the other day.....5 straight games in a row.  We won all the games.  We are a very competitive family and our two older kids were determined to beat us...maybe next time!  ;o)

Definitely pattern worthy (and I like the diamonds, but understand what you are saying...) and I am offering to be your first Pattern tester!

Very pattern worthy, how much of each fabric do we need? Those are great Ty prints, I like the others too, great for school colors!

I really like the diamonds. I'm sure it will look great without them too, but they add a nice touch.

I quite like it......It should make a great pattern. I was excited to see your curved ruler and patterns in my local quilt shop last week. Good for you!!!!

I agree with another member, I really like the diamonds. Having a pattern with two design options is a super great idea! Love this design!

Jenny, this is beautiful! The diamonds are perfect for these colors. I also love the Ty fabrics for your next round. The current quilt though has solo much negative space for beautiful quilting. Hooray for you!

Patten is a must!

I have to admit I like the first quilt you made, and when you quilt it, it will look awesome! And the quilting will show off great on the solids. Can't wait to see your other one too :-)

I love the new fabrics you've chosen. Not sure what you mean about not using the diamond, but haven't gotten into mine, so it will probably be clear once I start. I'm excited to be starting this and using your great ruler for the first time.
