Tips, Tricks and Techniques!

Thanks to some very encouragement comments and e-mails, I've come up with a new plan and am very excited about it!  I was pleasantly surprised that many liked my post on borders, thanks so much for that!

I've decided to post Tips, Tricks and Techniques on my Jenny's Doodling Needle Blog

I haven't been posting very much on this blog, mainly because I've cut down on longarming for others but was given the idea from a very nice friend to use it for quilting tips, tricks and techniques.  I will be re-posting my borders post on it later today.

...and....really,  I shouldn't take things so personal, I really am very resilient!  I think I've got too many baby hormones running through me right now ;o)

I've put a button on the left side of my blog that links to my other blog and will also share any links when posting tips and tricks on
my other blog.

...also, I'm a day behind for posting the "Curve it up" QAL.  That tutorial will go up tomorrow and it will be the 9-Patch!

Thanks again for all your encouragement!

~Jenny~

Sounds like a great idea - one of the best things about blogging is all the smart friends we make along the way!

I am so glad you have reconsidered your border post! You are such an inspiration. Your tips and tricks mean so much to me out here. I've been longarming for 6 years, and every time you post something I feel like I am being blessed with something new and wonderful.

And THANK YOU for being a day behind on the QAL!

: )

I don't longarm, but I found your border post very helpful. I wouldn't have thought to do that, but now I will if I ever have a wavy border. I always measure and make borders to fit the quilt, but I know a lot of quilters just slap them on and hope for the best! I'm looking forward to your tips and tricks. I've thought about getting a longarm for myself, but it seems like a lot of expense unless I want to do it for others, which I don't! I always enjoy your blog and have gotten some great ideas from it.

Merry Christmas!

I'm so glad you have reconsidered you border post and will be doing 'tips' posts....I think we can all benefit from that!! Sometimes we just need a few moments to stand back and "chill" (that suggestion has often been directed my way....might be a common 'malady' among quilters!?!). Hugs, D

I'm really glad to hear your going to share your tips and techniques on your other blog. I'm not sure what someone said to you to shake your confidence but isn't the point of blogging to share the way WE do things. That's what I love about reading blogs, I can get a glimpse of what it is like to watch that other quilter work and learn things I may not have thought of myself!

I'm looking forward to your tips and tricks, I love t read how others do stuff, if it only reassures me I do it the same, or I learn something new or see a new perspective! I really appreciate that you take the time to share with us, thank you :) Now, to catch up on my blocks ... lol

You Go Girl! One thing that I love about your blog is your kindness to share your knowledge and experience. Since I'm new to longarming, I have noticed that any information comes with a $. I have already spent a small fortune on the machine and supplies and the info is limited and costly for learning how to use the equipment. I'm sew glad "we" quilters can come together! So selfless and inspirational! Thanks Jenny!

Jenny,

I thoroughly enjoy reading your blogs. Although I do my quilting on my domestic machine, I find inspiration from your blog.
I'm glad you are re-posting your border post and think the tips and tricks blog is a great idea. I didn't have a chance to read it the first time I saw it; borders and waves are one of my challenges, so any tips are appreciated.

I missed whatever drama there was. I loved your post on borders, it was clear and helpful. I am glad you are going to post your ideas and tips on the internet, I will have to subscribe to the other blog too.
