Summer Piecing and Yummy Fabric

I actually thought I would have time to work on patterns this summer and finish my 31 Day Challenge and boy was I wrong!!

Believe it or not today was the first day this whole summer I got to work on a pattern in the making and am finally loading another quilt this evening to continue on with my challenge.

I pieced up two more of these blocks.  I'm not sure the name of them yet?

It felt so weird to do sew today but oh...so good!!

I have 4 blocks done now and 8 more to go.  I'm still deciding on a name for this quilt.

So often I'm inspired by fabric when it comes to choosing a design and the "Echo" line of fabric was my complete inspiration for these blocks.  I'm so happy with how they are turning out and can't wait to finish them all up.

While I was in Vancouver last week I fell in love with this black and white print called "marchesa".  I'm brainstorming a two fabric quilt with it and one other solid color.  Maybe the blue, maybe not?

Isn't it amazing!!

Wow! I absolutely love that block - the 4 patch in the center and the big circle around - just so amazing! I bet it felt good to finally get a chance to sew!

I think this would be my favourite design , so far, using your curve ruler. Has anyone used it to cut "trailing vine" applique stems yet? I have been trying to work out if it would be possible to cut multiple 1/4 inch stems using your ruler

Lovin the Lotta in this pattern. Well, the pattern is even better than the fabric. Great job.
As far as a name goes....I see A Square Peg in a Round Hole!

Love the prints in this one. Kind of reminds me of a round-about.

What fun, I love the circles you are making without ever making an actual circle. I need to find some time to play with that ruler of yours too.

Yes, that's amazing! I love that print. I am also loving your new block! You are amazing. I only have 2 more blocks to go on my Urban 9 Patch. Then, I can start on the Deco one. I can't wait!

I like the square peg in a round hole idea for a name!

The first thing that came to mind for a block/pattern name was Ring Toss. :) Beautiful...looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.

Hello from Down Under
How about Urban Windows? The squares in the corner make me think of little windows.

I've a few name ideas but I'll wait impatiently for your final decision ;o)
That black and white fabric is beautiful - it looks like an Andover fabric to me ....
It's great to hear that your back onto the last quilts of your challenge and I look forward to seeing them in due course ;o)

Oh my! Love this block! I have a bunch of Echo I haven't been able to cut up yet. I'd sure cut it to make these though.
