Alison's Quilt is Featured!

Isn't this quilt fun!  I love all the different prints she used!  She basically did up her own version of the Urban Birthday pattern!  I love it!!

My ruler and the Urban Nine Patch, along with the Urban Deco block are also being featured!  So go check it out here,  I know Alison would love to know what you think of her fun quilt!

...also

This week I'm finally getting to the two Hexagon Quilts I talked about here.

There is a story behind these quilts.   I'm quilting these up for the sweetest lady.  She's 88 yrs old and these quilts are all hand pieced and in excellent condition.  I've got to prepare the backs for them as well as do the binding.  I really want to make these special for her and I've been looking forward to doing them.  I will be sure to post my progress on them.

See, folk love your curved ruler and your patterns
this is probably the first pattern I'll try with the ruler when I get the decks cleared - now what fabrics will I use?

The quilts are all gorgeous - I can't wait to see how you decide to quilt the hand made quilts. Those are going to be the most amazing family heirlooms for her family.

The post was cool - I loved seeing all the different things that can be done with that ruler. I used it for the first time last week and was so happy with the results - I just have to work on my piecing! :-) It really is great and so easy to use...
