There's just something about freshly cut, beautiful stacks of fabric!

Lovely fabrics - they are so perfect and neat - funny after yesterday's post I've been looking at layer cakes and thinking about my niece and what I could do for her with the curved ruler......

Are you always so good about cutting all your fabrics before you start? I want to be good because then I can just sit and enjoy the sewing part but I'm just not that patient! I typically cut enough for each block, sew them together, then cut more... I'm feeling inspired though...maybe I'll have a little cutting party before dinner!
P.S. Love those colors together!!

I totally agree with you! I think it helps me to be a better organized quilter (with less mistakes!) having all of the fabrics cut. After cutting, I take a break, which might be a few minutes or days sometimes. Then I always make sure there are plenty of wound bobbins and sit down and sew, sew, sew-- that is such a happy feeling too. Your fabric selections are beautiful and inspiring. Let the sewing begin!
