Uhmmmm.....???

Sometimes what I see in my head doesn't quite translate on to the quilt.

Was I just tired of custom quilting? and no...I'm not on anything right now ;o)   Uhmmmm......???
O well, at least it's my own quilt...

Definitely not picking this out!!

I think you liked the look of the pantograph you made and were trying a variation of it. It does look nice on that quilt.

I think it looks fantastic! I bet you'll love it too when the entire quilt is finished!

I like it, and I love the thread color. Funny- I just posted a quilt top today that I am also feeling less than excited about! It is one I am planning to send your way to "rescue" with your awesome quilting skills, lol! Just have to make a back...

Maybe you'll like it better once you've done more of it? I did some pebbling on a quilt that I didn't like. The pebbling was fine, it was the thread I wasn't thrilled with. To me it looked horrible when I was quilting it, but once I finished it and stepped back it didn't look as bad as I thought. It still isn't my favorite but like you, I definitely did not want to pick it all out!

I agree with the other quilters, once your done it won't look so bad to you. I like the texture it has created. Maybe your not feeling it because you have been quilting very symmetrical, evenly spaced designs lately and this one is more natural and irregular. Keep going, I think you'll surprise yourself in the end with how much you do like it.

I think when I see it in the third photo I see that it is going to be amazing when it is finished. Don't worry, I think this is just one of those cases where up close it looks less impressive than the whole. I really loe it and would try this quilting method out myself. And the variegated looks good too.

I agree, I like it. I think I probably would have done it in the other direction but I certainly wouldn't pick it out. You really might like it better once the entire quilt is done.
