Have you ever thought about getting a Longarm Quilting Machine?

If you've ever thought about getting one of these...keep thinking about it!!  I spent many years quilting my quilts with my home sewing machine and had many struggles!  Pleats..spray glue..tack gun..and in the end not very happy with the results.

For my mom's quilt you see in the pictures I have two batting's.   Wool and bleached warm and natural.  It's quilting up really nice.  I am doing straight lines which is really easy.  I set my channel lock and make perfectly straight lines.  This quilt will take me about an hour and half to quilt up.  Then I will add the binding while it is still on.  That takes about 30 minutes.

I did not purchase my Gammill new.  It is used and so I was able to afford it.  It is an older model and there fore does not have a stitch regulator.  But I wouldn't know any different.  It is what I am use to.

I'm just so happy with my machine and will never regret getting it!
So if you've ever thought about getting one...know it is possible!

Jenny, thanks for the award. I'm honored. I love piecing and quilting and it's so nice when someone else likes what you do too.

Why have I never thought of buying a used one? lol Hubby offered to buy me a HQ16 (?) for my quilts, at about $4,000. But lil' penny pincher me thanked him kindly and put it on the back burner. I love this post!

I will have to look into something used too! Thanks!

That quilt looks huge! An hour and a half Jenny, really? someday I will be as fast as you! Are you measuring the line distance, using your hopping foot or eyeballing?

Looks great....I have a pfaff longarm....actually made by Tin Lizzy for pfaff but have not heard of a channel lock. Something I'm going to have to check out. I have a stitch regulator but rarely use it. I love the straight lines too.

This looks great....so you don't use a ruler to get these nice straight lines? I love them.
