Challenge Day 3

Found out today that my Urban Nine Patch Quilt won 1st place in the category "Professional Quilting" in the Blogger's Quilt Festival! WOW!!  Thanks to all of you who voted for me!!   There were so many amazing quilts in the festival and I'm completely honored to have received this award!  Thanks again!!

It's day 3 of my 31 Day Challenge and life outside of quilting life happened.   I knew I would have day's like this, just as long as I don't have to many of them, because I know I will not meet my challenge if I do.

I am happy to say that I did get the binding stitched on the Annette's 2nd quilt and they are ready to be taken over to her in the morning.  I'll take more pictures in the morning with better light.

I've loaded Betty's quilt and will start on it tomorrow, it's a small one and so I'm hoping I can finish and get a 2nd one loaded.

...also, I'm going to do another feather border in the near future, using the acrylic circle and I will take better pictures next time to show step by step how I do it.  I'm sure one of the many quilts I have, will be calling out for that feather design ;o)

3 of 30 Finished

Congrats on your win!

I wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to get moving on some tops sitting around my sewing room! Thankfully they are just my tops and not customers - although I have procrastinated on some of those too! Late Thursday afternoon I decided I wanted to get a mystery quilt top quilted before the end of the day. It had been sitting around since November 2011. Got the backing pieced, showed my 13 year old daughter how to help me pin it on, and got it quilted before going to bed that night! Now on to my least favorite part - the binding. Thanks again for inspiring all of us to get busy!
