Challenge Day 22

It's day 22 of my 31 Day Challenge and I'm done quilting for the day.  When I got home from work I spent some time playing with my fabrics and coming up with a plan for my demo tomorrow.  I plan on taking my Urban Birthday, Urban Abacus and Urban Candy patterns and switching the print and solids around to show how different the quilt would look by doing that.

Now I will have some fabric to cut and demo tomorrow and the blocks will still have a purpose.

The thought behind doing this is to (hopefully) take the quilts to Quilt Market in Houston as samples, showing another way to do up those particular patterns, just by changing the solids and prints.

I also couldn't find my little scissors all morning and started to get frustrated!  Finally at about 1:30 I started quilting again, after I found my scissors on the ironing board under my husbands pants!

A lot of ruler work and stitching in the ditch on this quilt, but I think it was really worth it, I love how it turned out.  I've posted more pictures on my other blog.

Loaded the next quilt.  I will be doing an overall design for this one, which will be a nice little break from custom quilting.

Hate when the picture doesn't rotate for me! ;o)

Love the fabric choices. Hope your next few quilts are easier and quilt up quickly for you.

You are doing the right thing here - showing folk the alternatives by switching fabric around - I love the grey bundle and the yellow, blue bundle (you can see that I'm more into the funky modern fabrics than the big floral ones at present)
You are sure to find today a delightful distraction from all the quilting you've been doing, in demonstrating your ruler and creating new masterpieces - have fun ;o)

I went to 4 shops in the Kent/Seattle/Bellevue area yesterday. Which shops are you demonstrating at? The quilt is just lovely.
