Challenge Day 15

It's day 15 of my 31 Day Challenge.  After I got home from work this morning I was so exhausted and the thought of going down stairs to start a full day of quilting was more than I could handle....so I took a nap!  It felt soooo good!!  I normally don't take naps, but I really needed one today.

I then measured, photographed and re-folded all of Karen's quilts and bagged them up, ready for pick up.  You can view all the photographed quilts on my other blog if you would like.

I always love the feeling of bagging up a customer quilt when it's ready to go, it's such an awarding and accomplishment feeling.

I loaded this flip-flop quilt and it should go pretty fast.  The flip-flops were raw edged appliqued and so I'm stitching them down but am not sure if I should do something else to secure them or leave them be.  They have a stabilizer on the back of them so they are really stiff.  Any suggestions?

I'm going to finish this in the morning and hope to get an early start and a good day of quilting in.

Thanks again for all your comments, I look forward to them so much!  They have been such a boost of motivation for me!

You never cease to amaze me! I am in awe of your quilting and creativity not to mention your energy! Glad you got to get a nap in as I'm sure with the rate you've been going you needed it.

Olá,você fez muito bem em cochilar,o seu desafio é lindo, mas muito desgastante,cuide-se.Acho que estas sandálias não precisam de mais nada,as costuras que você está fazendo seguram bem.Vou lá ver as fotos, beijos e bençãos.

Oh, don't you just feel like the grandest tiger in the jungle? All of those quilts done and ready for your client! She must be as thrilled to get them as you are to hand them over. Can't wait to see what is in store for us, your faithful readers, over the next couple of weeks!

Sorry I can't think of anything to sew in the bed of the flip flops other than a small diamond pattern to match that which is normally there - but maybe just the outline of one around a foot like Karen has suggested .. I love that idea
If you've had a nap, you must have needed it, so you did the right thing
We'll be waiting impatiently for the next instalment of your quiltfest

I like that they pop a little since they don't have a lot of quilting, but I was also thinking outline of a foot ;)

Congrats on 18 of 30. Each quilt is so lovely in it's own way. Your stitching is the icing on the cake.

I think that just stitching the outline of the flip flops is enough. But the idea about a footprint sounds interesting....

I might do a little ziggy-zagg in the straps (you can see the shoe on the back and helps secure the batt). Fun quilt!

The foot of the sandal should stay like it is I think because it's like a footprint in the sand with the swirls but I do like the suggestions of just stitching on the strap.

Congratulations on getting past the halfway point on your challenge! Your doing great! Karen is very lucky to have you do all her quilt as well as the binding.

I would leave the flip flops just the way you have then now, they look finished to me and I like how the stand out.

I think ''feet'' stitched on the flip flops would be really great! :)

You're less than halfway through timewise but more than halfway through quiltwise! Way to go! I sure am enjoying watching you work. :-)

I like the way the flip flops are kinda puffed up in the picture. Not sure they really need anything else. It's a very cute quilt!

You are doing awesome!
