Quilt room clean up and baby update!

After renovating the downstairs and cleaning up the laundry/backdoor area, I knew I needed to start working on my quilt room.

We decided to move all my fabric and projects out of some cupboards, so we could use the cupboards for food storage.

We decided to put up some cubicles for my fabric:

I love how this is going to look when I'm done.  My sister gave me the great idea to wrap my yardage fabric around cardboard and stack vertical.

...as you can see in the picture above, I have a big void (hole) towards the back of the room,  it's where I use to hang up all my customer quilts to be longarm quilted.  But since I've cut way back on that part of my business I don't need that space anymore.

Now that space will be a wall of these cubicles and I love how it really cleaned up that area!

My quilting room will not be finished anytime in the very near future.  Baby will come tomorrow or Friday for sure.  If he doesn't decide to come tonight, I'm going in to be induced in the morning.  I'm not very thrilled about that and gave my Doctor some strict "Jenny" rules about the inducement.  If at all possible to avoid a couple of inducing techniques.  I've experienced them all and think I have a right to be a bit picky this time ! ;o)  I know what can make labor easier...or not.

...and thanks again for all your nice comments!  I'm sure everything will go well with the delivery.  We are very excited and anxious for this little blessing to come to our family!

~Jenny~

Looks very nice, Jenny!
Good luck with delivery. Glad you will stand up for yourself with some rules. My first inducement I just went along with whatever. The second time I had some hard, fast rules--stuck to them and things were much smoother--and bearable!!

Wishing you the best of luck. Wouldn't it be fun to be born tomorrow? Sorry, I don't know anything about birthin' babies. I am just an Auntie. Big hugs! Love your room!

Looks great! And wow! That longarm is a monster! Makes my little domestic look puny:) Yes, definitely opt out of inducing. That is no fun! Like 0 to 60 in no seconds. Yuck! Good luck:)

The cubicles look great on that wall!
Glad you have your 'Jenny' rules for the Dr as you know what works best for you! I was going to be induced on a Friday but fortunately my little guy arrived Thursday afternoon. He had great timing and I hope you little guy does too.
I'll be thinking of you and sending you happy thoughts :)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who makes rules about being induced. I'm pretty sure my Dr. thought I was crazy 2nd time around when I told him I didn't want to be induced unless I HAD to! :) Good luck, I've still been thinking about you every day!

The quilt area is shaping up beautifully! Yep, you deserve some choice in the matter, of course, less of the anxious, more relaxed and it will all be good! Look forward to some happy news! Be gentle on you :) x

It looks so nice and clean. I don't expect you to answer as you will be busy pushing...but, it looks like coffee filters on your machine. Is that just for catching thread scraps? Perhaps one of your followers can respond! Good luck missy! Janis in Oregon!
