I've finally started quilting up Grandma's Hexagon Quilts. Not my Grandma, but two lucky grand daughters will be getting these from their Grandma! I've had these quilt tops for a while now and am finally quilting them up.
Normally, I don't post a lot about my customers quilts...on this blog, but these are pretty special ones! I really wanted to stay traditional and hope I give these quilts what they deserve...I am doing up two and probably will quilt them both the same.
I am preparing the back, using double batting and will be doing the binding too.
I also wanted to say a BIG THANKS to all of you that commented on my "orange/white half square triangle quilt"!! Looks like I may have to do up a pattern for that soon for those inquiring minds.
Okay...back to the hexagon's....!!
I'll be sure to post more pictures as I go ;-)

What a lovely story on the hexi quilts. A very special pair of quilt, those 2 granddaughters are going to cry when they receive the quilts. You're quilting heirlooms.
