Urban Sampler Quilt

I'm heading to Quilt Market on Friday and wanted to take some samples with me.  So as I was talking to my sister about this and trying to decide what blocks to make up to take....I had a bright idea!  (this doesn't happen often)

...so what do you get when you demo the QCR over and over and over....LOT'S OF LEFTOVER BLOCKS!!  DUH!!

I had my sampler quilt and didn't even know it.  All I needed to do was sew the blocks together....with a little fudging here and there and wha...la!  My "Urban Sampler Quilt"!

I'll finish quilting it today, just in time to stitch the binding on before leaving on Friday.  I'll reveal the whole quilt tomorrow. ;o)

I decided to join in on your QAL and gave you some love on my post this evening. I'm really looking forward to playing with the QCR and making some amazing new blocks!

can't wait to see the whole thing! Very cool! I have been scratching my head how to use the quick curve ruler in more ways - I think using it to make a robbing-peter-to-pay-paul quilt (like this: http://duringquiettime.blogspot.com/2012/10/stolen-dreams-quilt.html ) using a layer cake (with no waste) would be fabulous!
