The story behind Annette's quilts started a while ago and I was so excited to finally finish her quilts and take them over to her today.
Annette had two quilts she wanted me to quilt for her. I just finished the binding on this one yesterday.
I finished this one up a few weeks ago. I wanted each quilt to have a look of it's own.
Annette loved them both! Jared went with me and Annette and her husband Don were just tickled to have us there. We were there for about an hour and listened to all of their great stories. Annette is 89 and her husband, 88 yrs old. Annette's 1st husband worked for Firestone, so Annette has lived all over the world and told us some stories about that.
Annette then took me into her bedroom to show me her Great Aunt's and Grandmother's quilt tops!
These quilts are so fantastic and was so glad I had my camera to take pictures of them. They were in excellent condition and we both decided it was best to leave them be with how fragile they probably are. Isn't that curved nine patch awesome!
...and of course I couldn't leave without a picture! Isn't she beautiful!
