Quilting ~ "Urban Nine Patch"

I started quilting my "Urban Nine Patch" quilt today!

I'm never quite sure what quilting design I'm going to do when starting a quilt and this quilt was no exception.

....but as I started quilting, my design evolved.  I was a little burned out from the thinking process involved on my last quilt and wanted to simplify the quilting on this one.

Good thing with this quilt, unlike my last quilt, is each blocks quilting design will be the same and since my first one is done, it's no more thinking for the rest of the quilt!!

  2. It looks awesome....sometimes simple is better. Although I must say that I think the your Urban Holiday was worth the effort.

I have recently taken up long arm quilting but I don't have very good perception so I use digital patterns. So, I am in awe of your ability to free-motion quilt :-)

  8. You always impress me with your creativity. Love this one, the quilting adds so much to it. I like how you extended the straight line stitching into the other colors.

  9. It is fabulous! You say the quilting is simple but it perfectly complements the intricate design. I think you achieved great balance. Bravo!

  10. You amaze me on how you can 'see' the best quilting patterns to enhance each of the quilts you quilt up - this is another stunner - I'd have been tempted to do a different pattern along the black and white fabric but now seeing this think it would detract too much from the main 9 patch element of the block - brilliant Jenny

The quilting on Urban Holiday was absolutely wonderful. I can see why you feel drained and burnt out. But don't give in. I love what I am seeing so far on the Urban Nine Patch. Can't wait to make one of my own,
