Finished "Metro Rings"!!

Just finished "Metro Rings"!!

It always looks better in person, but here it is!

Yes, this is pretty heavily quilted...and I'm not sure it really needed it...but overall I'm happy and love how it turned out!

I caved again...and used double batting (warm and white).  I just love the texture and feel of the quilt when doing that!  I used an off white (Sew Fine) thread by Superior....my favorite.

I stitched in the ditch and used rulers for all my straight and curved lines

My friend Andrea, is going to take some professional pictures of it tomorrow for the pattern cover and then onto writing up the pattern.....oh and it took about 13 hours to quilt up.

  27. This quilt pattern and ruler have affected me deeply! Just got the ruler and M itching to get started! But the holiday goodies come first, oh, and a new handbag for self...then move over other ideas...we are gonna have some serious fun...and, like other comments, this ruler and your patterns will take over and "rule" the quilting world! Best wishes for the holidays and afterwards!
