Downstairs Renovation Pictures!

I feel so disconnected from blogging lately....Computer crash, water leak....(no not me, the wall).  I wish it was my water leak ;o) !!

But I'm finally feeling a little bit more put together.  Computer is up and running the downstairs is looking amazing!  Just one more thing will complete this whirlwind I've been in, the arrival of my now overdue baby!

Here are some pictures of our downstairs.  I wish I had more before pictures.

This is where we kept a lot of stuff!
Somewhat cleaned up.
Jared made me a pattern-slot organizer!

..so this space is my new computer/pattern work area!  It's where I will now package and ship out orders...the table on the end fits a large cutting mat perfectly for a cutting table.  We put up slotted backboard to hang hooks for all sorts of stuff.

I'm absolutely amazed at how much we accomplished in just a couple of weeks.

I was really thinking we would have the baby in the middle of all this...but glad he waited and we were able to finish...(for the most part) this renovation!

  5. I love it. I was hoping it was your water leaking. Being overdue is the WORST!

  6. Looks great! I'm sure the baby is just waiting until you get it all finished and are ready. As soon as you sit down and put your feet up to rest and enjoy it, baby will come! (Don't unpack your suitcase like I did--I ended up with nothing at the hospital, and had to wear what I wore into the hospital, home from it. (husbands aren't reliable at remembering what to bring with a 2 yr old on hand). Makes for some lovely photos--that and the fact that my husband broke my glasses just before we left, so I had a piece of white adhesive tape in the center of them! Hope baby comes soon and everything goes smoothly!

  11. I met your sister again at a studio party last Thursday night, and finally purchased one of your rulers and a pattern. Looking forward to playing with them.
Sorry, the baby isn't here yet! You sure get a lot done while you wait!

  12. Fantastic new work space, thank goodness for water leaks! :)
Hope your baby decides to arrive soon now that most of the work is done. Both my boys were 10 days late so I can relate to the waiting game!

  18. Your downstairs looks wonderful. My favorite is the pattern organizer. And your quilts bring such lovely color to the area. Good luck with the baby.

  21. LOVE the room with the aqua walls and quilts! So pretty! And what a great pattern/cutting area! So jealous of your space! I don't even have a room large enough to baste a full size quilt (unless I moved couches in the living room and there would be no place to move them TO, lol)

  22. WOW!!! I LOVE IT! I liked the blue walls but now, with your quilts hanging on them? Absolutely the PERFECT backdrop. Good for you! I think you get so much positive energy from these projects, especially when the space you're renovating is where you spend a great deal of time. I can't wait to see what you come up with once you're working in the beautiful new space.

And you know, maybe on some level the baby, or your body, or even God knew that you weren't quite ready for the baby yet. The doctor's "due date" is just an educated guess -- your baby will be born right on time, when he or she is good and ready to greet the world. I think it will be TOMORROW! :-)
