  9. I have completed all my blocks! I did a sample block first from scraps, then did all cutting next. That took a while especially the background fabric! I assembly line sewed all pieces and then trimmed all to size. I pinned each bundle into 32 packages, and then it was fun deciding what fabric was going to each block. I have now sewn all blocks together, and just this morning was outside trying to decide on a layout. I sent a copy of my picture of the layout to the sew kind of wonderful gmail address. Making these blocks are extremely addictive and extremely fun. I love the look of the minis. I have made metro rings already and it was fun too! Thanks for the summer fun. We are heading on a family vacation at the end of August.

  43. Well I am still at the start unfortunately. I've been trying to catch up on a couple of other quilt alongs and battling the which colorway should I choose for the twisted blossom blocks. Sometimes (ok most of the time) I think way too much about my color choices. Spending some time at the cottage in a couple of weeks, so hopefully I will be able to dive in with both feet and get a bunch of blocks made.

For summer vacation, my daughter and I went off to North Dakota to visit my side of the family -- it was so lovely and relaxing and great weather, and boy it went fast. We just came a couple of days ago, and her school starts in about a week. So sad to see summer end so soon for my daughter.
