Urban Nine Patch Inspiration!

I would have never imagined that my little Urban Nine Patch QAL would have attracted so much attention.  I've had more fun seeing what others have created!  I thought I'd put together some mosaics.  A couple of people's Urban Nine Patch's were blocked and I couldn't include them in the mosaic.  But most everyone that is a part of the Urban Nine Patch Flikr group, will have a block or quilt in one of the mosaics.

I love seeing how different each and everyone has turned out.  We all have different styles in design and fabric, yet we can all take the same block and make it our own.  I LOVE THAT!!

Now, I KNOW FOR A FACT that many more have purchased my ruler just so they can make the Urban Nine Patch.  I know this because I'm still getting lot's of page views, daily, for that tutorial.  So what I'm getting at is this:  I and many others would love to see your Urban Nine Patch blocks or quilts and you can do that by sharing them on the Urban Nine Patch Flikr Group!

If you don't have a Flikr account it's really easy to start one.  And so many bonus's to having one.  Lot's of quilting groups and quilts to check out for so much inspiration it's exhausting sometimes!!

This started out to be a QAL and yes, there was an end date for the QAL, but now it's just a fun free tutorial for anyone one to use, for now that is.  ;o)

Oh ya!  I can't end this post without showing you mine too.

The middle blocks are the Urban Deco Blocks...sort of a branch off from the Urban Nine Patch and that tutorial is also found on the upper left side of my blog along with the Urban Nine Patch Tutorial.

  7. It was so fun being part of this Quilt-Along. It was my very first one, and I could hardly wait to check Flickr every day to see what new combination of fabrics and colors would appear. Jenny's ruler and pattern made the whole experience wonderful!!

  8. This quilt was the reason I bought the ruler at the Sew Expo! I just hope I find the time to make it some day. I love seeing just how different everyone's quilt turned out!

  10. I am still working on mine. And I am loving it! I can't wait to show you my progress. I haven't had time to update my Flickr photos yet. I have a question for you. I wanted to take some photos of my individual blocks and have them made into note cards for my own personal use (not for sale to others or anything). I just love the block so much. I wondered if I would have your permission to do that. I realize your pattern is copyrighted, so I had better ask. I will understand if that is not acceptable, but as I said, they would only be for notecards for me to send to friends, not anything I would sell anywhere. Thanks for letting me know. ;-)
