Funny, I feel kind of sad it's the last week of the Urban Nine Patch QAL. This was my first QAL I've hosted and I had so much fun doing it! I've really enjoyed seeing all the different Urban Nine Patch's!!
I just finished my solids one and love how it turned out!
I was going to add a skinny border with the same background fabric...but realized I didn't need to after putting them together...duh!
For this layout I used 13 blocks. I had fun with the different shades of solids and ended up doing a light gray for one of my last blocks. I love that one!
If you like this lay out, it's really easy to put them together on point. For the side triangles cut (4) 12 3/4" squares then cut squares in half. That will give you 8 triangles. For the corner triangles cut (1) 13" square, cut square in half then in half again to give you 4 triangles.
I wanted to talk about quilting design options this week, but am putting that off for a bit. Hopefully next week.
Five more blocks to go for the Urban Deco quilt and hopefully I can whip those up this weekend.
So if these Urban Nine Patch blocks entice you, it's not to late to get a Quick Curve Ruler and the Free Tutorial for the Urban Nine Patch block is on the left side of my blog and will be there for a little while longer until I release the Urban Nine Patch Pattern.
If you want to see more blocks in different fabrics and colors, you can go check them out on the Urban Nine Patch Flikr Group.

I have always loved the glorified 9 patch and I love your interpretation of it. Your rulers seam to make easy work of it. I love all the gray!

It is really awesome and inspiring me to make these blocks for my solids group in a bee I've joined. Thanks for such a fabulous design. I'm in love.

Gorgeous Jenny! It looks amazing on point! Such a beautiful quilt!
Love, love, love it
On point just makes it - this will quilt up beautifully
Now we wait (impatiently) to see how you 'present' the Deco blocks ;o)
Love the sharp contrast on this. Just breathtaking!
Wow stunning! I wish I had more time in my crazy life to make one right now!
This is gorgeous! I especially love how the grey background sets off the colors.
Just beautiful! Received your curve just a couple weeks ago and can't wait to try it. Have too many projects going right now, but have to pause every time I see it waiting on me. Thinking of trying the Urban Runner with Tula Pink fabrics.
Your work is just beautiful.
I'm so far behind. You'll get to enjoy this quilt along a little longer, because I'll still be working on mine! LOL. I LOVE this setting and am going to copy you, okay? :-) Yes, please give tips on quilting. I'd love that. ;-)
Wow, that is just gorgeous!!
