ReplyDeleteI've never sewn curves before. They kind of intimidate me but the ruelr does make it seem doable.
ReplyDeleteHi. The first time I tried to sew curves was for a jigsaw piece quilt they bunched and pulled and were not pretty at all. But my friend knows the quilt was made with love so she let it slide. I now sew curved regularly for flaps but have picked up a few tips along the way! Definitely have to rule the line properly - usually with a bowl though, at the moment.

ReplyDeleteWow, those curves are awesome! I have sewn quarter circles and usually end up sewing a bit extra on the edges and trimming so everything is nice and square. I would love to try these curves!
ReplyDeleteI have sewn exactly one curve. I was antsy one day, and decided to see if I could do a drunkard's path block. I found something round (salsa jar, I think), traced it on two scrap squares, and made a pretty quarter circle with no pins!
ReplyDeleteMostly, the only think holding me back from more curves is that I dread cutting them by hand!
Thanks for the chance to win - I LOVE your Urban Nine Patch!
